S2E04 - Dawn talks to Dr Shawna Lee and Andrew Freeman about child development, parenting and coregulation
Hi and welcome to POD-CACHE, the portable CPD and best practice podcast from CACHE, presented by Dawn Newman - Editor of www.CACHEAlumni.org.uk, the free professional membership network for those working in Care, Early Years and Education.
This week Dawn talked to Dr Shawna Lee and Andrew Freeman about child development, parenting and coregulation.
Parenting is a difficult job and, for practitioners, can be frustrating. Strategies that work well in a classroom may not work at home and feelings can 'run high'.
Andrew and Shawna talk about the things that parents (and the practitioners who may be supporting them) may wish to consider when planning childcare activities and talk Dawn through the ways that different approaches might affect a parent/child relationship.
